Our little baby is 9 months old! She moves non-stop these days, making it rather difficult to get her to lay next to her bear long enough for a photo. She weighs 19 lbs 14 oz (75th percentile) and is 27.25 inches long (50th percentile); she’s a little chubby for her length but is otherwise healthy. Here’s what she’s been up to this month:
-Her two top teeth are coming in, making her more grumpy the past couple of weeks and she’s had some difficulty sleeping.
-She learned how to go from lying down to sitting and back again.
-We started her on finger foods this month. She’s gotten the hang of feeding herself dry food like puffs and Cheerios, but has a hard time with the slippery stuff like pieces of banana.
-Alaina loves to play peek-a-boo and it’s so gosh darn cute!
-The little stinker started pulling up on furniture last week.
-She’s added some more consonants to her vocabulary, including n’s; I’m hopeful that since it’s only one letter away, she’ll be saying m’s soon instead of replying to my prompts of “mama” with shaking her head and saying “dada”.
-We’ve been doing some sign language with her the past couple of months and we believe she did her first sign back to us- the sign for more when daddy was making her laugh. :)
