As soon as baseball season wrapped up, Frank got to work prepping the vegetable garden- weeding, renting a tiller, etc. This year, we planted tomatoes, green peppers, and cucumbers. Alaina loved helping out and got to hold a worm. Her watering skills could use a little work, though.

A few weeks ago, we had the ultrasound and found out we’re having a BOY!
Alaina went with us to the appointment and now at least once a day she says “Aw, it’s a baby boy in your belly!” This is usually proceeded by her shouting “I’m a big sister!” It’s adorable.
My sister just sent us 6 boxes of boy hand-me-downs- it’s weird seeing so much blue and green clothing after seeing mainly pink for the past 2.5 years!
On Mother’s Day, Frank was out of town with baseball so Alaina and I headed across the river to check out the annual butterfly show at the conservatory. We weren’t the only ones who were thought it was a good Mother’s Day activity- we had to wait in line for an hour! Luckily, it was a nice day out and Alaina behaved reasonably well. :) Unfortunately, by the time we made it into the show, we only had 30 minutes before the conservatory closed, but that’s about the length of A’s attention span so it worked out okay.
